  • In 1740 Admiral Edward Vernon enforced a reduction in the strength of the British Navy's rum ration. When his men complained, Vernon suggested the addition of limes and sugar to make the drink more enjoyable. "Old J" has been created in honour of this unlikely mixologist who was known as "Old Grog". "Old J" however brings Vernon's concept into the 21st Century by using the finest Caribbean Rum combined with our Secret Blend of Spices, Sugar, Vanilla and Lime.

    This 3-year-old rum was distilled all the way in Colombia and transported over to Cornwall, where it was brought down to bottling strength with Cornish water. A transatlantic tipple that is wonderful served with a zesty fruit juice.

  • Admiral Vernon's Old J range extends with their own Silver edition! This spiced rum spirit drink has been infused the same selection of spices as their other classics (particularly vanilla and Persian Lime), but with a base of white rum, meaning it can be used in cocktails without altering the drink's hue. Rather handy indeed.
  • Alnwick is a bold, spicy dark rum, perfect for making a big impression in cocktails and mixed drinks. Based on a recipe which was first created over 90 years ago in Northumberland, Alnwick rum is made with a blend of rums from Guyana and Jamaica, which are currently blended in Holland and bottled in Scotland.
