Covid-19 Statement

Following the latest update from the UK Government, we are pleased to confirm that we will be safely opening after the easing of some restrictions from Monday 19 July.

Since the start of the pandemic, our number one priority has been the safety of our team and customers. So, as we gradually return to normal, we want to make sure you continue to feel safe when visiting the Gin and Rum Festival.

While face coverings and two-metre social distancing will no longer be mandatory, we know that for many customers these practices continue to provide comfort when they are in busy places. We therefore ask for your continued support for those who choose to wear a face covering, or who would like some additional space when queuing for entry and ordering at the bar.

We also ask that for extra peace of mind, all customers take a lateral flow test before attending our festival; this can be done in the comfort of your own home and will not require you to prove a negative result on entry. Lateral flow tests can be ordered direct from HERE

On arrival you will be greeted by our lovely hosts, who will be carrying out temperature checks and scanning your tickets, so please make sure you have them ready either in paper form or on your mobile device. If your ticket was not purchased under your name, the NHS Track and Trace QR code will be made available in various locations around the venue for those who wish to check-in.

Sanitiser stations will available on Entry / Exit and in various locations around the Festival. All customers will be asked to use the hand sanitiser stations before being handed your very own Gin and Festival Copa-Glass – you’ll use this glass throughout the session and it is yours to take home after.

What to expect from our team…

Additional staff will be in place, who will continue to follow enhanced hygiene and safety processes, such as a deep clean between session times and touch points will be regularly cleaned and sanitised.

All staff will be temperature checked before each shift.

Doors and windows will be kept open where possible to ensure optimal ventilation.

The use of disposal cutlery and sample cups will be used at our food stand and Masterclasses.

As we take another cautious step towards returning to normal, we once again want to say a huge thank you for all your ongoing support over the last 18 months and look forward to continuing to safely welcome you back to our festivals.

UPDATE – NHS COVID PASSPORT

We have been receiving questions surrounding the latest announcement regarding the possible use of the NHS Covid Passports at our Gin and Rum Festivals. The team are aware of this update and, once we know the specifics of the new regulation, will act accordingly and update customers who may be affected by this change. Please note, the new regulation (should it relate to us) will not be in place until the end of September. We continue to encourage all customers attending our festivals to practice extra caution and take a lateral flow test at home before joining us. Proof of a negative test result will not be required upon entry.
