The RFID wristband is a wristband with an RFID chip in it that acts as your electronic wallet, allowing you to make purchases without the hassle of cash or card transactions.
Your RFID wristband will be the only payment method accepted throughout the event (except at our food stands) and will allow you to purchase gin, items from our off licence and bars. Please be aware that you are unable to purchase food with your electronic token wristband. cash and card facilities will be available for these outlets only.
As you enter the festival you will exchange your ticket for your own RFID wristband.
Your RFID wristband is used to access the festival and to pay for drinks, merchandise and off license. After ordering, you simply tap your wristband against one of the readers. Once the transaction is confirmed, the amount is automatically deducted from your wristband’s balance.
You can do this in two ways:
1. Create your cashless account at: http://www.bit.ly/TopUpDerbyGRF
2. Once you’re inside the festival you can top up your wristband with credit at any one of the top-up stations.
No problem. Visit any one of the Top-up stations to reload your wristband…as many times as you’d like.
You will be able to check the balance of your wristband whenever you want, at any bar, vendor, Top-up station, or info point. Simply ask for a balance check, tap your wristband against one of the readers and instantly know your balance.
Don’t worry! You can get an online refund. You’ll just need the numbers on the back of your wristband, so don’t throw it away after the festival ends! The online refund facility will be live 24h-36h post event. You will be able to apply for a refund for 7 days by visiting the link on our site. Requests made after the 7 days will not be accepted. A £2 administration/admin fee will be applied to all online refund requests.
